This film is based on the video games of the same name, not usually a good recommendation for a film but in this case not a complete disaster.

This film reminded me of so many others: the transporter, the shooter, the bourne films (to a lesser extend)…. and the list goes on. So nothing new in the story stakes and a right roaring thunderous adrenaline rush of action the whole way through with a hint of romance as a sub plot. The cinematography is outstanding and it’s worth renting or buying the blu-ray version over the DVD for better all round enjoyment. Timothy Olyphant plays the main character (47) but he never really gets to show off any serious acting talent and is very Chow Yun-Fat in the Killer, but the chase is exciting and the hectic pace of the film never lets up, I for one really enjoyed it from start to finish. In fact I don’t think there was one scene I didn’t like. Lots of bald guys with barcodes on the backs of their heads does stretch the imagination a touch but other than that it’s a winner.
