This film is rather like a half hour comedy sketch that’s been stretched too far. It has elements of Only When I laugh and Benny Hill. It has obviously been shot on a tight budget and they have done their best the script and the story is OK if not quite clever.
A group of film students decide to make a film and go after a financial backer, but the only backing they can get is for a porn film and only if they get a certain actress (Carmen Electra A.K.A Candy) in the main role and hence the story and comedy unfolds. Funny enough Carmen Electra actually turns in the best performance of all the actors/actresses. The film has to be shot in the house of one of the students parents which also makes for some great comedy. One such instance is when they use a pear in a sex scene and the next morning the father picks it up and proceeds to eat it. This film reminded me very much of Your Starter For Ten, which is another British made film although a much better one in my view.
If you happened across this on a Sunday afternoon on the box or in the bargain bin at your local Woolies you would be pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable it is. But don’t go into it expecting a rip roaring blockbuster as that it isn’t.
