Never really got on with rhythm games before, always found them supremely irritating, too quick for me. So when a friend suggested I might like Guitar Hero I wasn’t sure, then I read a interview somewhere about the team behind it, and my interest grew.
Don’t usually like first person shooters, don’t usually like war games or strategy or tactical games or games with lots of confusing controls. So I don’t know why I decided to try this one, saw it in the shop read the back looked at those alluring screen shoots and suddenly I’d made up my mind. I’ve enjoyed the previous versions of this game before on the PSP and the Playstation before that. But the PS3 version is the best so far. The game starts off a little simple and empty looking but as you progress through the game and win tournaments you unlock new characters, caddy’s, clubs, balls…. and things start getting a lot more fun and interesting.
When I first got my ipod I downloaded this game along with a few others but by far this one has been the most played. I travel a lot on the train and if the trains late (as does happen occasionally) or if my usual traveling comrades are absent it’s this game that I keep coming back to. Read the rest of this entry »
